Rihanna’s fashion show took NYFW by storm as she debuted her Fenty collection in collaboration with Puma. Not only did the line look effortlessly cool, but so did the lady of the hour!
Rihanna, 27, made her New York Fashion Week debut on Feb. 12 with her Fenty show, which celebrated her collaboration with Puma. The songstress is known for her edgy sense of style and her ability to dominate with her stellar fashion, both on and off the red carpet — and that’s why we couldn’t wait to see her take NYFW by storm. The star, who took on the role as Puma’s creative director, definitely put her all into her very first fashion show and celebs were out in force, including Chris Rock, Vogue‘s Anna Wintour and of course her boyfriend Travis Scott. Her NYFW debut came mere weeks after her Anti album release. The songstress touched down in NYC, all smiles, ahead of the big event. Her show was the most anticipated catwalk of the day, following Kanye West‘s epic presentation the day before at Madison Square Garden. The athleisure trend was dominant throughout the collection and it really represented RiRi’s individual sense of style and the Puma aesthetic.
The celeb set came out in droves to support RiRi at her show, and she looked amazing while debuting her new line. Of course her boyfriend Travis was there, and she snagged model of the moment Gigi Hadid, 20 to close her show. Rihanna’s front row featured the likes of Chris, Anna, rapper Wale and fellow designer and close pal Jeremy Scott from Moschino who were on hand to cheer on RiRi’s debut collection. Even supermodel Naomi Campbell was on hand to give her a big hug after the fashion show went down and tweeted out “you killed it” about the collection.
The songstress already found success with Puma when she launched her sneaker-creepers in a slew of shades — and she even posed in a sexy campaign to promote the line. For fashion week, she had the freedom to create an entire collection — and everyone couldn’t wait to see what RiRi sent down the runway.
