“Hamilton’s” Lin-Manuel Miranda is not the only leading man on Broadway who can rap.
Wayne Brady — who took over as the star of “Kinky Boots” — has been freestyle rapping at the show’s curtain calls to raise money for charity Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Fans in the audience suggest random words that Brady incorporates into his off-the-cuff rhymes.
Over Thanksgiving weekend he raised more than $10,000. Brady just took over the role of Lola from Tony winner Billy Porter.
