US rapper Lil Boosie told his fans he was suffering from kidney cancer in a shock Instagram post this week.
According to TMZ, the Louisiana rapper - also known as Boosie Badazz - posted a long caption alongside a photo on Instagram, making the admission to his followrs.
It's claimed he wrote: "I need all my fans to pray for me. Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power thats why I'm letting the world know #prayfaboosie."
The post appears to have since been deleted.
Fans quickly screenshotted the post however, and it has begun doing the rounds online as they send their support.
The star has been suffering from diabetes for years, but he didn't mention it in the post.
The star has released five regular studio albums while contributing to a number of mixtapes and compilations.
It comes after Boosie was released from prison last year after serving five years after pleading guilty to drug charges
